Decades ago, Mattel released a toy consisting of a plastic glasses capable of playing small 3D content that appeared on disks. He was called View-Master, arrived in Brazil by the Star and can still be found in online commerce sites.
But what does this have to do with tech news? It is that Google, in partnership with Mattel, the toy revived and transformed the product in a virtual reality goggles for the children. The idea is still create animations and unique experiences for young people, but from a technique that is more fashionable today.
Basically, it is a variant of the Project Cardboard, virtual reality goggles inexpensive presented by Google using a smartphone coupled to generate special effects.
The product was six months in development: he won a new design to look more realistic and still uses the same film rolls, which are now storage media. Content can also be bought by Google Play.
