Having experience by working at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing (China), and 2012 in London (England), Nielsen was selected as the official market research supplier by the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The company’s work will be providing information on the population’s expectations in relation to the Games before, during and after the event. From that data, the organizing committee intends to measure the success of the Olympics based on dialogue with the public.
The committee has already signed sponsorship agreements with Bradesco, Bradesco Seguros, Claro, Correios, Embratel and Nissan for the Olympic Games in Rio, which will still rely on Cisco, EY, Sadia, Batavo and Skol, as supporters, and EF Education First and Nike, as suppliers.
On the other hand, 2016 Rio Paralympic Games have, so far, eight official sponsors (Atos, Bradesco, Bradesco Seguros, Claro, Correios, Embratel, Nissan and Omega) and two supporters (Cisco and Sadia).
